                          Carlos Del Pino, Bass

Born in Camaguey, Cuba, Carlos studied music at an early age at
the "Escuela Nacional de Arte" and soon after at the "Instituto
Superior de Arte," the later being one of the most prestigious
institution in all Latin America for the arts. Upon his graduation,
he continued his graduate studies with Professor Karol Kopriva
from Czechoslovakia. Carlos moved on to become a musician in
"Opus 13," with performing credits, including the "North Sea Jazz
Festival" in Holland. He received the "Juan Sebastian Bach

the "Jazz Orchestra of Palermo."

Back in Cuba, he worked with the "Orquesta de la Radio
television," an orchestra that dedicated their talents to any
personality that would need their musical ability over T.V. Or
Radio (as the name implies). In addition, Carlos played with the
"Orquesta de Opera y Ballet de Cuba," which feature the works of
Alicia Alonso, a very prominent ballet company. More recently,
Carlos went to play in Ecuador playing contemporary music based
on Ecuadorian Folklore along with pianist Manuel Larrea.
